FROM THE FORMULA 1 COLLECTION This is the SOLE FINEST graded 1912-D half dollar at either service. Richly toned on both sides with earthen gold and pale emerald accents on both sides. A strong, brilliant mint luster blooms throughout the fields with a bold satiny allure. Using a strong glass we are unable to locate any mark serious on its own to preclude a CAC bean. Nicely struck throughout, there is just a little typical weakness noted in areas, again, nothing that impacts the amazing and original eye appeal of this SUPERB GEM. PCGS 1, NGC 0. This coin has not sold via auction and the current Collector's Universe value of $13,000 is pure conjecture, and for the POP TOP, we think that value is too low.
