The 1960 half dollar, like other denominations of the era, was very weakly struck, examples offering the Full Bell Line designation are quite scarce, and at the grade level offered here, RARE. In fact MS66+ FBL is a condition census grade. The present PQ GEM is incredibly lustrous and well struck. The obverse is gently dusted with a dappled blend of earthy tones, olive, rust-orange, and slate. The eye appeal of this sharp and totally original GEM is excellent. PCGS 112, NGC 7, CAC 18. There are just six in MS66+ FBL and two finer. The most recent example to sell in auction brought $2,703 in our September 2019 Regency Auction and the current Collectors Universe value is $1,950. Keep in mind that the only MS67 FBL to ever sell in auction realized $28,200 four years ago. Seems like this coin presents a great value in comparison. Cert. Number 25003964 PCGS # 86678
