- Description du lot
- 1802/1 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-234, B-3. Rarity-3. Wide Date. AU-53 (PCGS).
The golden-bronze and steely-blue toning is illuminated by considerable underlying luster. Nicely centered and well struck, with sharp denticles at the borders on both sides. The BB-234 features the most widely spaced date of any 1802/1 overdate variety. It is easily attributed by a round die lump below star 8 and is seldom found finer than VF.
Provenance: From the Naples Bay Collection.
PCGS# 40090.
