Lightly toned around the peripheries in pretty champagne-pink iridescence, the semi-prooflike surfaces support bold to sharp striking detail and flashy mint luster. While produced to a sizable quantity of 2,304,000 coins, most of these were melted, leaving the 1904-S as one of the scarcest and most desirable late date Morgan dollars.
