- 1787 Fugio Copper. Pointed Rays. Newman 15-Y, W-6915. Rarity-2. STATES UNITED, 4 Cinquefoils, 8-Pointed Stars on Label. Fine-15 (PCGS). 153.6 grains. An intriguing variety with the distinctive 8-pointed stars on the reverse label and this is the only die and variety with this feature. As usual, the upper star is bold on this piece while the weakly struck lower star is indistinct. A pleasing if slightly off center example with attractive color and good quality surfaces for the grade. Provenance: From the Norman G. Peters Collection. PCGS# 898.
