Lot Description

A tad rough, yet with plenty of nice gloss, as well as a frosty texture that presents nicely during in-hand viewing. There is a tiny dig in the lower left obverse field, close in to the first quatrefoil, but no other sizeable marks are seen. The right obverse and left reverse borders engage some of the peripheral letters in those areas, which are somewhat soft, but all major design elements are discernible, and most are bold or sharp. The well-known reverse cud break of this variety is plainly evident along the lower right border.
