1785 Nova Constellatio Copper. Crosby 1-B, W-1880. CONSTELATIO, Blunt Rays. AU-55 (PCGS). CAC. Superior quality and eye appeal for this challenging type, both sides are overall hard and glossy in texture, with just a trace of light roughness to the central reverse as typical of the Crosby 1-B variety. Handsome medium copper patina throughout, with a remarkably bold and well executed strike that allows full appreciation of all design elements. A low pop figure at PCGS and impressive pedigree further enhance the appeal of this already highly desirable Nova Constellatio copper.
