Lot Description

22 graded MS-66, 4 higher at NGC. Fantastic luster and a rather decent strike (despite lack of full head details) are ideally suited to the high grade assigned by NGC. Gentle metallic tones splash the upper obverse, while denim-grey and purplish overtones powder the reverse. 1923-S is scarce even in circulated grades, but a very gem example like this has few peers outside of examples designated as full-head.
