- M. Diatom Collection. Bolender-6, BB-255 incorporates the only known "large 3" obverse die with a reverse die that has an arrowhead centered at the base of "UN", the eagle's beak barely touching one star, the left serif of the first "A" in AMERICA embedded into the neighboring feather, and base of "I" in the same word centered over a leaf. Substantially dark, heavy waxy patina coats the entire surface and definitely eliminates the need to worry about any hairlines or distracting little marks, since they would disappear into the dusky presentation. Both portraits are boldly outlined and the stripes in the shield are fully delineated but very few individual feathers emerge from the eagle's wings.
