What a great looking GEM! flashy reflective mirrored fields are toned with a lovely olive-green, and blue-tinged pewter silver that shimmers with light golden. Sharply struck with nicely frosted devices that stand out against the watery texture of the fields, the eye appeal is excellent. Only 600 Proofs were struck. PCGS 20, NGC 5, CAC 8. This is the coin that was in Gardner:IV, October 2015, lot 98069, earlier ex Stack's October 1995, lot 160. In October 2015, this coin sold for $3,525, the same as we sold one for in June 2019. The Collectors Universe value is listed at $4,500 and there are just a half dozen graded higher, making this a great coin for the Registry Set collector. Cert. Number 50133264 PCGS # 83718.00
