1924-S Standing Liberty Quarter. MS-67 FH (NGC). Gleaming frosty-white surfaces are fully lustrous and devoid of even light toning. Grade-limiting abrasions are also absent, providing a smooth, Superb-quality sheen to both sides. The 1924-S is a scarcer SLQ in all grades with a mintage of just 2.8 million pieces. Full Head survivors are nothing short of rare, fewer than 2% of the mintage having received such a strike from the dies (per J. H. Cline, 2007). There are only two Superb FH examples known to PCGS and NGC, the present example and another MS-67 Full Head listed at NGC. An important offering from the fabulous Malibu Collection.
