The year 2025 is drawing to a close, and the entire PCGS team wants to take the opportunity to extend our gratitude for your business and support. We had a busy year as we launched new innovations, expanded our services, and served numismatists around the world.

Since our company’s founding in 1986, PCGS has led the industry with consistent quality and a dedicated mission to protect collectors while making numismatics a safer, more enriching place for everyone. This has earned us the trust of numismatists around the world, who have collectively submitted nearly 60 million coins, banknotes, and other numismatic items worth almost $60 billion. Among these tens of millions of coins are many major rarities we encapsulated over the past year, including the previously unpublished 16th example of the legendary 1804 Draped Bust Dollar, a coin hailing from the James A. Stack, Sr. Collection and which took $6 million at auction. We also graded the last 696 Lincoln Cents struck for circulation, which carried an omega privy mark and were auctioned by Stack’s Bowers Galleries in December 2025 to realize a combined $16.76 million.

As a company built on providing the best customer service in numismatics, we listened to the many requests for a new and improved online submission center. This led us to launching PCGS Online Submission Center 2.0, offering PCGS Collectors Club members and PCGS Authorized Dealers a faster, more efficient way to submit their items to us. We are continuing to make improvements to this innovative system and plan to unveil even more features in the months ahead that will make submitting to PCGS easier than ever.

We also rebranded our flagship magazine, PCGS Insider, which has a circulation of more than 30,000 and is among the leading periodicals in numismatics. Over the summer, we were thrilled to unveil our long-anticipated PCGS Ancients grading. The service began with the grading and encapsulation of Chinese Qing Dynasty Cash coins using a new, 10-point grading system that is well on its way to becoming the industry standard. It’s just another of the many innovations PCGS has pioneered since we encapsulated our first coin on February 3, 1986.

We’re excited to celebrate our 40th anniversary in 2026. It’s a milestone that reminds all of us at PCGS how much has evolved since we entered the scene back in the mid-1980s. While we’ll be looking back on our history and heritage throughout the next year, we’re also going to be looking forward. Forward to new innovations currently in the works. Forward to exciting specials and features to help you enjoy the hobby more. Forward to serving you in every way possible.

Have a safe, warm holiday season, and let’s look forward to the many great things together in 2026 as you collect and we protect.

Here’s to good health and much numismatic success,

Stephanie Sabin
