Really a pretty example of popular Proof Seated dollar issue. Bold, watery reflective mirrors gleam with a decent flash. Warm slate blue and teal hues dominate the obverse, while the reverse has a pastel peach, gray, and lilac tone. Some microscopic lines are seen with the aid of a strong glass, but they do not impact the eye appeal of this CHOICE Proof dollar with a coveted 1850s date. Only 800 Proofs were struck. PCGS 49, NGC 42. The most recent PR64 to sell was an NGC PR64 CAC for $5,760 sold in April 2019. Prior to that, PCGS PR64 coins sold in the $4,500-$4,700 range. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $7,750. RARE any finer, a PR65 will cost into the five figure range. This coin will be in strong demand. Cert. Number 81601636 PCGS # 7002.00
