Lot Description

A very high end example for the grade--we have found 58s with less detail and overall eye appeal than this coin! Lots of satin luster clings to the surfaces, that brings out the lovely mauve-dove coloration. The surfaces are clean and show only the slightest hint of high point friction on the sharply struck devices. A very good looking and original coin with lots to offer a type collector. PCGS 88, NGC 78. The most recent example to sell in auction realized $940 in August 2015and the current PCGS Price Guide value is $1,200. Every example before that sold for $1,175 or more. Cert.
