Lot Description

New Scotland Consignment. 2 graded PR-66+, 7 higher at PCGS. Lovely midnight-blue drapes over considerable portions of either side, stopping short of covering the entire coin by virtue of a noticeable circular area of eggshell-grey at the obverse lower right, and lilac-grey at the reverse upper right. Impressive details include absolutely full, boldly struck stars and beautifully sculpted feathers for the eagle's entire motif, save a very brief suggestion of softness above the left (observed) talon. While not at all a cameo example, ravishing eye-appeal carries the day for this specimen.
