Lot Description

1854 Liberty Half Eagle. FS-101 (FS-004.5). Doubled Die Obverse. AU-50 (PCGS). A dramatic doubled die which has the effect of an earring on Liberty (her ear lobe is actually doubled) along with her curl above, both well to the southeast. Natural surfaces with a hint of residual luster in the protected areas and smooth wear. Apparently rare and seldom offered.
