1896 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-63 (PCGS). Warmly toned in smoky golden-gray with deeper reddish-russet highlights at the borders. The strike is razor sharp throughout, the fields well mirrored in finish, and appreciable as such as the coin dips into a light. As one of the most consistently well produced and attractive Proofs in the Morgan dollar series, the 1896 has long been popular with type collectors who prefer coins in this format. PCGS# 7331.
