Description du lot
1868 Liberty Seated Silver Dollar. OC-2, FS-301. Top 30 Variety. Rarity-4-. Misplaced Date. AU-58 (PCGS). A lustrous and richly toned example that at first glance has the appearance of Mint State quality. Deep shades of purple-blue are accented with rose, particularly on the reverse. These are scarce, the vast majority of the 162,100 circulation strike silver dollars that the Mint produced in 1868 were lost to future generations of collectors through use in export trade.
