1817 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-103. Rarity-2. Punctuated Date. AU-50 (PCGS). A pleasant specimen with deep tan-gray toning and lighter devices as well as some colorful iridescence in the fields. A few circulation marks are seen, none severe, and some minor spotting in the left obverse field . Frosty cartwheel luster remains in the stars and letters. Early die state with a crisp overall strike and a bold "punctuation" mark between the last two date digits. Provenance: From the Richard Jewell Collection. PCGS# 6110.
