JR-4. A scarce, popular early dime. Displaying an even wear pattern, which is often NOT the case on these early issues. Medium gray color is balanced across the surfaces. Generally wholesome looking, close inspection reveals a few ancient scratches and hairlines, but are taken into account by the grade. PCGS 8, NGC 9 (in all VF grades). The most recent one was struck from an earlier die state without the crack from Y to Liberty's nose. That coin realized $3,263. Prior to that, a PCGS/CAC coin sold for $4,113 in April 2014. The current Collector's Universe value is listed at $4,000. These infrequently come up for auction in these moderate collector grades, take advantage of the opportunity. Cert.
