Lot 247 1836 N-6 R2 PCGS graded F15.Glossy mix of dark olive brown and steel with light brown and tan. No roughness, only light contact marks consistent wit the grade. The only notable mark is a light rim bruise at star 3. This is the extremely rare early die state without the large cud break over star 8. Graded F12 by Noyes, his photo #35688. Noyes lists only 4 examples in this die state; doubtless there are a few more but certainly not many. Our grade is F12.The attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
