Losbeschreibung: 1880/79-CC Morgan Silver Dollar. VAM-4. Top 100 Variety. Reverse of 1878. MS-65 DPL (NGC). Quite rare with such a deeply mirrored finish in the fields, the die polishing required to impart such a "look" was often sufficient to efface the overdate feature. On this coin, however, ample remnants of the 79 underdigits are readily evident even when examined without the aid of a loupe. Virtually untoned, and sharply struck throughout, this visually impressive piece belongs in an advanced collection of Deep Mirror Prooflike Morgans. Tied for finest certified!
