1824/2 Matron Head Cent. N-1. Rarity-1. EF-45 (PCGS). Handsome medium brown patina with warmer crimson and steel highlights that appear to drift toward the borders. Central design elements are overall boldly defined, and the borders are fully and uniformly denticulated around both sides. The surfaces are hard and tight with a pleasingly smooth satin texture; faint toning spot in the lower left obverse field. Notes Die State B/B. PCGS# 1639. NGC ID: 225E.
