1869 Silver Three-Cent Piece. Proof-66+ (PCGS). CAC. This wonderfully original premium Gem is dressed in bold, well blended toning in steely-copper, deep brown, pale gold and powder blue. Well mirrored in finish with a fully executed strike and pristine-looking surfaces. A key date silver three-cent piece in circulation strike format (mintage: just 4,500 pieces), the 1869 in Proof format is also a noteworthy rarity in the finest grades, as here.
