Lot Description

94 graded PR-67, 38 higher at NGC. A serious contender for any sort of first-class collection, the superb-gem grade leaves nothing on the table in terms of quality. This is near-perfection in a proof nickel, the only nitpick being some microscopic pepper specks on either side, almost inevitable for proof coins of the era. The cataloger could find not even a single contact mark on the obverse, while the delicate abrasions on the bison's shoulder appear to be pre-struck.
