Description du lot: 149.8 grains. Glossy medium brown with some faint orange undertones around obverse devices, the last vestiges of a long-ago cleaning from which this coin has essentially completely recovered. The reverse is natural in appearance. Some very minor roughness at centers, as struck. A rim bruise under the right side of the date is noted, smaller one hides at 9 o'clock on the reverse. Obverse aligned towards 9 o'clock, common on this variety, while the reverse is nicely centered. A sharp and attractive example with bold details on both sides. This variety is chosen as a type coin as much as any New Jersey die marriage.
