Lot Description

A vivid and vibrant fresh mint bloom gleams on both sides of this well struck GEM. This coin is a TOP 50 VAM-3, which is the Doubled Die Obverse, Medium D variety, which adds desirablitly to the advanced collector. PCGS 503, NGC 233, CAC 150. The most recent example to sell in auction was conservatively graded in an OGH, realizing $2,233 in June 2017 (it was NOT a VAM-3). This was the most recent attributed example to sell in auction, realizing a very reasonable $940. A non-CAC example sold for $1,116 in December 2016. Cert. Number 83076658 PCGS # 7376
