Lot Description

1795 Talbot, Allum & Lee Cent / Blofield Cavalry Mule. Fuld Mule-6, W-8725. AU-53 (PCGS). Satiny surfaces retain modest prooflike reflectivity in the fields. Warm medium copper obverse toning contrasts with olive-brown patina on the reverse. Boldly defined with an overall smooth appearance and just a few trivial marks that are easily overlooked. A tiny edge bump at 9 o'clock on the obverse and light surface scale along the lower right border on the same side are noted. The Blofield Cavalry is perhaps the most desirable of the Talbot, Allum & Lee mulings with examples highly elusive in all grades. Provenance: From the Bill Gleckler Collection.
