- 1865 Pattern Nickel Three-Cent Piece. Judd-410, Pollock-481. Rarity-6-. Proof-65 (PCGS). The obverse and reverse designs are similar to those used for regular issue 1865 Nickel Three-Cent production, although on the reverse the ribbon ends are broader and merge with the denticles at the lower border. Struck in nickel with a plain edge.<br /> A lovely silver-tinged specimen with a full strike and modest semi-reflective tendencies shining forth from the fields. Scarce!
