Light abrasions, visible only under magnification, are the result of over 200 years of handling, and must be expected. Prominent periods after the date and LIB¬ ERTY instantly identify this die marriage. Heavy die cracks from the obverse border at 7:00 extend into the hair and downward toward the date.
