- 1795 Flowing Hair Half Dollar. O-116, T-11. Rarity-3. Two Leaves. VF-20 (PCGS).
UNITED is die clashed beneath star 8 and LIBE of LIBERTY on the obverse, while the milling is incused above UNITED on the reverse. Berries 7 left, 9 right on the reverse, with a prominent die break that originates beneath star 1 on the obverse and continues to star 3. A group of mint-made adjustment marks are also seen at the center of the obverse. Pleasing gunmetal-gray patina covers both sides, with smooth wear minimizing most of the marks and abrasions. Nice original appeal for this early VF Flowing Hair half dollar.
