1851-C Liberty Quarter Eagle. Winter Variety 1 (13-G), the only known dies. AU-55 (NGC). Bold-to-sharp in strike, and free of all but light highpoint rub, this bright-looking example would do nicely in a high-grade collection of Southern gold. Olive-gold in color, with no individually mentionable distractions among the scattered abrasions.
