1723 Wood's Hibernia Halfpenny. Martin 4.14-Fb.2. Rarity-4. MS-63 BN (NGC). A glossy-textured piece with attractive patina in a blend of orange-brown and gray-brown colors. The strike is quite sharp and nicely centered, although we do note softer detail in the centers due to concentrations of shallow planchet flaws (as made) in those areas. There are few post-production distractions in evidence.
