Lot Description

"1852" Round 25 Cents. BG-891. Rarity-5-. Indian Head. MS-65 (PCGS). PCGS has misattributed this coin as BG-799DD, which is an <em>Octagonal</em> 25 Cents variety. A backdated issue produced circa 1881-1883, the present example is a beautiful Gem with warm olive-orange patina. Otherwise satiny in sheen, we note modest hints of semi reflectivity in the fields as the coin rotates under a light.
