Delightful satin surfaces exhibit soft pinkish-tan color to smartly impressed features. Interesting late obverse die state with considerable evidence of die erosion engaging some of the peripheral letters, especially in the word OF. This is the preferred grade for high quality type collectors seeking a Mint State Flying Eagle cent, and this 1857 certainly offers strong luster, crisp striking detail and nicely composed surfaces without having to shoulder the cost of an MS-66.
