MCMVII (1907) Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle. High Relief. Wire Rim. EF-45 (PCGS). Handsome olive-gold patina is seen on surfaces that retain plenty of razor sharp striking detail. Isolated high points are a bit soft, commensurate with the grade, and a few dull rim bruises on the reverse are noted for accuracy. This eagerly sought issue is a strong performer in all grades. With Mint State examples commanding very strong prices, this Choice EF -- which still retains ample detail on Saint-Gaudens' inspired high relief design -- is sure to find many interested buyers.
