1850-D Gold Dollar. EF-40 (PCGS). Yellow gold on the high points deepens to vivid orange and rose in the fields. Doug Winter in the 2nd edition of his <em>Gold Coins of the Dahlonega Mint</em> (2003), estimated a surviving population of just 110 to 120 examples in all grades.
