A magnificently preserved example of this this popular Dahlonega issue! Doug Winter reports that this date almost always comes heavily abraded. Here we have the exception, with no noteworthy imperfections or distractions. Fantastic, near proof-like luster shines brightly from both sides. Uniformly bathed in gorgeous yellow-golden color that compliments the strong striking detail. An exciting piece for Southern Mint enthusiasts with a rather scant mintage of 20,583. PCGS has graded only 8 examples finer!
