<strong>Obv:</strong> Similar in design to that used for the regular issue nickel three-cent piece of 1865 to 1889, but in a larger format and with a single star on the coronet below the word LIBERTY. The digit 7 in the date is distant from the lowest hair curl. <strong>Rev:</strong> An open laurel wreath surrounds the denomination 5 CENTS, with the word CENTS gently curved. The motto IN GOD WE TRUST in small letters lines the upper border. Semi-reflective fields gently contrast frosty, sharply defined motifs. The entire package is lightly toned in a dusting of golden-gray.
