Lot Description

This overdate is identified by the "bar" at the top of the second 8 in the date, and is conditionally very challenging. Indeed, there are only a dozen graded higher than the currently offered MS64, none are finer than MS65. Boasting a bold cartwheel mint brilliance that swirls over the highly lustrous surfaces, giving life the the untoned surfaces. Crisply defined devices have a nice frosted texture and few marks, none of any consequence. The eye appeal is excellent. PCGS 44, NGC 6, CAC 16. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $2,250 and the CAC CPG value is $2,210. There has not been a CAC-approved example sold since May 2020; more recently two non-CAC PCGS examples sold for $2,640 in September 2020 and one sold for $2,160 in May 2022.
