1886 Liberty Seated Quarter. Proof-67+ (NGC). This richly original, boldly toned specimen combines a steel-gold obverse with a reverse bathed in a blend of smoky-gray and champagne-gold. Silky smooth in appearance with a sharp strike and, for the obverse at least, ample evidence of a came finish. Outstanding quality and eye appeal from a mintage of 886 Proofs.
