- Description du lot
- Bold, flashy, cartwheel luster swirls over this nearly-Select BU example. Well struck and very attractive with deep orange-gold color and wisps of overlying reddish-rose that are a delight to view. With a relatively generous mintage for the Carson City facility (103,732 $10 gold pieces came off the dies there in 1891), and a hearty survival rate in the lower Mint State grade range, this 1891-CC in MS-62 is ideal for the type collector looking for a mintmarked type coin.
