Sharply struck for this first-year gold dollar from the New Orleans Mint, other positive attributes include warm olive-orange patina and modest, yet appreciable semi-prooflike reflectivity in the obverse field. Otherwise satiny in texture, a couple of tiny nicks on the reverse are the only individually mentionable abrasions.
