Lot Description
1802 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-241, B-6. Rarity-1. Narrow Date. EF-40 (PCGS). Brilliant apart from the lightest golden iridescence, this minimally circulated example retains ample evidence of a semi-prooflike finish from the dies. The devices are boldly to sharply defined over most features, and the borders are fully and uniformly denticulated around both sides. As one of the most frequently encountered die marriages in the Draped Bust dollar series, the 1802 BB-241 is a perennial favorite among collectors seeking a single coin to represent the Heraldic Eagle design in a type set. BB Die State III. Provenance: From the Greenway Collection. Stack's paper envelope with attribution notation included. PCGS# 40087. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
