A premium Gem example from the premier date of this beautiful design. Nicely preserved and lustrous, this 16-D was likely put away at the time of issue and left in an old envelope where over the decades it acquired a lovely pastel iridescent overtone on satiny surfaces. Graded ages ago, the MS-66 level seems somewhat conservative. Rare any finer when certified finer than MS-66, we expect strong bidding when it crosses the block.
