1869 Octagonal 50 Cents. BG-907. Rarity-5-. Liberty Head. MS-66 (NGC). Deep orange gold with lively underlying luster, the reverse somewhat prooflike in appearance. Boldly struck. Circular reverse lathe marks seen under low magnification. From the firm of Frontier & Co., 1864-1872 or so, successors to Frontier, Deviercy & Co.
