Lot Description

Flashy surfaces graced with old envelope toning attract the eye. The appeal of this coin is undeniable. Striated russet toning deepening to indigo towards the rims undoubtedly account for the CAC designation. Although the coin appears higher grade, a few light ticks on the obverse are consistent with an MS64. PCGS 89, NGC 109. Valued in the PCGS price guide at $1,200. Last auction record of $998.75 in April 2017. A very pleasing example of an early date Capped Bust Half Dime. Cert. Number 3607956-004 PCGS # 4277
