1849 Braided Hair Cent. N-29. Rarity-2. Grellman State-c. MS-62BN (PCGS). Almost completely uniform light olive brown with just a trace of steel in the left obverse field and remnants of faded orange red in the central reverse fields. One speck of debris is noted atop the wreath, below the second T in STATES and has the appearance of something that would fall away from the surface easily. The middle die state with the small cud break beneath the date, and the die line added to the reverse between N and I of UNITED. Fewer than 10 are believed known of this die state, and this is among the best of them. EAC:AU55
