Lot Description

29.3 mm. 137.9 grains. Glossy olive-brown with the usual flatness in the centers extending through the WA of WASHINGTON. A very small patch of old tooling is noted in the left obverse field but is not that distracting. One of three different edge variants represented in the August Collection for this type. Though the planchet is thin, the edge device is boldly impressed, and the strike was neatly centered on the flan.
