Description du lot
1876 Pattern Liberty Quarter Eagle. Judd-1480, Pollock-1633. Rarity-8. Copper. Reeded Edge. Proof-64+ RB (PCGS). Regular dies trial striking of the 1876 Liberty quarter eagle. There are perhaps three of these in existence today in copper, this one retains more color than the other example graded by PCGS which is in the Brown category. Handsome faded mint color throughout with a bold strike and glistening fields of reflectivity while the devices show mint frost. For identification there is a looping lintmark located on the top arrow shaft into the field above. A thoroughly impressive and rare pattern issue that is worthy of any advanced collection.
